If privacy issues are really what’s preventing disclosure of Sandy Hook children photos, I don’t think Soto’s sister would be shown pictures of other people’s children any more than we would be. Carver gave the impression that he took the identification photos carefully so as to cause the least trauma to parents. This doesn’t jive with the idea of photos of dismembered hands. Hands wouldn’t show identity; I have no doubt that investigators would have taken photos of the entire scene, whatever that scene was, but that would have been for the purposes of investigation, not showing to family members to traumatize them even further, imo.
